# How to apply for DeCard？

**Step 1: Start your card application.**

After you register and enter the "Card" page, you can start the card application process (new users will also complete identity verification in this process):

* First, you need to select the card scheme.
* Identity verification will be performed after selecting the card scheme; you can choose from the following 2 verification methods:
  * Singpass: for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents.
  * Upload passport and proof of address: for other foreigners in Singapore.
* After identity verification, you are required to complete and confirm your personal/residence/employment details. Application can be submitted after confirmation.

**Step 2: Transfer funds to increase your spending limit.**

Transfer funds to increase your spending limit. Once your DeCard application is approved, you’ll receive a virtual card with a starting credit limit assigned by DCS. To transfer funds:

* Go to the D-Vault page and tap "Pay to card".
* Select the currency or stablecoin you want to transfer.
* Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your repayment.
